CG 5 Paddle Clutch - mcglynn - 22-04-2015

Have this back for sale again, I fancy a change of car and no longer have use for it.

I know some people have had issues, but it worked absolutely perfectly on car from the word go, never showing any signs of struggling both with hard driving and with my daily commute to uni

Pressure plate could do with a wipe with thinners/emery. Its been dry stored in my shed.

£160 posted. Cheap clutch definately capable of stage 2 and perhaps beyond.

No interest? Smile

RE: CG 5 Paddle Clutch - mcglynn - 02-06-2015

Still have this.

160 posted if anyone is after it. Cant afford to keep the car and tune it as well as run the bike at the moment.

RE: CG 5 Paddle Clutch - bashbarnard - 03-06-2015

Push or pull type clutch? Cant see the pics. And how many miles is it on?

RE: CG 5 Paddle Clutch - mcglynn - 03-06-2015

Its a HDi gearbox clutch, not sure on push or pull but you'll probably know.

It done about 4k if i remember right. Never gave bother at 280lbft and above.

RE: CG 5 Paddle Clutch - bashbarnard - 03-06-2015

Was the box off a hdi engine or not. As I have a hdi box on my xud. Easiest thing. Is the release bearing attached to the diaphragm

RE: CG 5 Paddle Clutch - mcglynn - 03-06-2015

Its from a hdi engine and box yeah. It was in my hdi when it was stage 2.

RE: CG 5 Paddle Clutch - bashbarnard - 03-06-2015

Wrong clutch for me then. Never mind.

RE: CG 5 Paddle Clutch - mcglynn - 03-06-2015

Ah have you converted the hdi box to the xud type arm?

Pity. Need it sold been toying with the idea of fitting it again and again but cant afford the rest of the stuff again.

RE: CG 5 Paddle Clutch - mcglynn - 06-06-2015

Bump Smile want this gone

RE: CG 5 Paddle Clutch - mcglynn - 09-06-2015

Stilllll hereeeee. Why does nobody want to go stage 2 these days?

RE: CG 5 Paddle Clutch - toseland - 09-06-2015

i really want this but A. its too expensive for me and B. i want to retain some driveability around trown

CG 5 Paddle Clutch - Frosty - 09-06-2015

They really aren't that bad to drive with. The torque figure you are after I would think your only option is a paddle clutch

RE: CG 5 Paddle Clutch - mcglynn - 10-06-2015

Its cheap for what it is. I paid £320 for it new and its still as good as new capability wise.

And as frosty says, dont let peoples stories of them being horrible to drive with get to you. They are a bit grabbier but after a day or two of adjusting yourself to a new driving style (if even) you no longer notice it.

RE: CG 5 Paddle Clutch - mr_fish - 10-06-2015

Being Sprung is won't be bad at all. I've driven Frosty's and seems fine really.

RE: CG 5 Paddle Clutch - toseland - 12-06-2015

RE: CG 5 Paddle Clutch - mcglynn - 13-06-2015
