bosch VE land rover 300tdi - puglove - 19-04-2015 Kinda like an xud so thought this would be the right place for it Been off roading today a developed a strange boost issue Pull through the rev range as normall >>>>>> full boost 2800 rpm (20psi) >>>>> fine all normal Rev on through to 3000rpm >>>> instant drop to 0 psi >>>> LOADS of coal >>>>>> no power Change up to >>>> 2000ish rpm >>>> normal boost/ power >>>> normal coal Hit 3000 rpm ish >>>> same again no boost lots of coal Wtf is that?? Im really confussed. No obvious boost leaks No sound to idicate that its dumping 20psi of boost isntantly New CHRA about 6monts / 1000miles ago It isnt the gauge at fault indicated by the huge amounts of coal and lack of power. How can a turbo stop spinning instantly with 3000 rmp of exhaust gas running through it then spin up fine again the next min??? RE: bosch VE land rover 300tdi - Chairchild - 19-04-2015 boost leak - possibly something coming loose at high airflow/pressure RE: bosch VE land rover 300tdi - HDi--Power - 19-04-2015 Intake pipe collapsing? RE: bosch VE land rover 300tdi - Paul_13 - 20-04-2015 Does sound like that. Intake pipe collapsing and sucking shut RE: bosch VE land rover 300tdi - maxlee - 12-05-2015 has the small pipe rubbed through from the top of the pump common on them intake pipe shouldn't collapse as they are fairly tuff, filters not full of shit and its lifting that up in the box? RE: bosch VE land rover 300tdi - Dave - 13-05-2015 Get a boost gauge on it see whats happening RE: bosch VE land rover 300tdi - JTaylor2005 - 13-05-2015 Tbf I was looking at one of these the other day. The long turbo to air box pipe round the back could be collapsing if the air filter is clogged up. RE: bosch VE land rover 300tdi - puglove - 18-05-2015 Errmm yeah ..... face palm [attachment=23253] RE: bosch VE land rover 300tdi - kee616 - 18-05-2015 There's ya problem ![]() RE: bosch VE land rover 300tdi - darrenjlobb - 18-05-2015 Only just seen this, heh yeah was going to say , you have a pre turbo intake problem, classic issue of something closing up under high airflow! This is a classic problem on long silicon intakes on XUD's etc! |
