Pressurised fuel tank? - 4WayDiablo - 24-04-2012 As above anything to worry about? I've never had it before I was I a car park and turned the engine off and heard a running/gargling water ish sound coming from fuel tank area so opend the filler cap and it sounded like opening a can of fizzy pop :? Re: Pressurised fuel tank? - strictly_perv - 24-04-2012 I had it in some previous petrol cars but never one of my diesels... Re: Pressurised fuel tank? - cully - 24-04-2012 dont think it should do that im guessing a vent is blocked somewhere aslo this might be why your cars running rough! loosen the cap to let the tank vent see if the car runs better Re: Pressurised fuel tank? - Dan! - 24-04-2012 Likely to be the breather is blocked. I think its the small pipe that is just inside the filler tube. Re: Pressurised fuel tank? - mark_airey - 24-04-2012 4WayDiablo Wrote:As above anything to worry about? Not just mine that does this then ![]() ![]() Re: Pressurised fuel tank? - Harky - 24-04-2012 Mines the same, breather pipes blocked. I tried shoving wire down it but didn't clear it enough, so for the past 6 months I just make sure to leave the cap loose, does the job! |
