Transmission problem - sm0ke - 24-03-2015

hey i have my 2001 306 1.6L automatic transmission problem.. the car will jolt and then on the dash board the Sport and Ice lights will flash.. To correct the problem I have to turn off the car and restart it please help

by the way i have added one liter of synthetic fluid

Did you just add the fluid or did you drain the old stuff first?

Unfortunately if an oil change doesn't help, you really need the transmission ECU read for fault codes.

i didnt drain any becuase i dont know how lol

Ok well I'd suggest a fluid change rather than just chucking more in lol.

I've never owned an auto 306 so I'm not sure how to drain them either though, sure someone more knowledgeable will be along soon.

Don't mean to be harsh, but if you don't know what you're doing you're best off leaving it well alone, or at the very least having a read around about what the problem might be before just doing what seems like a good idea. Had a corsa in a while back whose owner had taken the same approach as you to the engine oil, needless to say it was ruined and cost him about £600 to fix.
