Brake light switch - mackat - 19-01-2015

Finally got my arse into gear and fixed the XSI – (yay) – Started up first time, but the brake lights where constantly on.
Found the brake light switch had popped out when doing the dash.

Is there an easy way of refitting the switch without pulling everything apart again?

Thanks

Small hands!

naah, skinny hands!

or drop the steering column.

My flatmate has even tried, and she's a tiny woman with dinky hands..

When you say drop the steering column, that would be the 2-4 bolts underneath the box - How does that help?

RE: Brake light switch - welshpug - 19-01-2015

the switch is inside the steering column bracket

Skinny hands to hold the switch in place and a large E clip fitted on to the ribbed section of the switch from the footwell side if you've lost the original clip!

I had my speedo out and someone had drilled a nice hole to fit them. Took me 15 mins. And some swear words. Lol
