Removing Crank & Pistons - londondan86 - 25-11-2014

Finally got round to stripping the old block last night then got stuck as the light started to fail.
The crank seems to just just not want to come out, it is completely free on the flywheel end and the oil seal is out at the pulley end. It seems like it is catching on the counterweights?? Any tips? Possibly pistons put first but then came up against the below issue!
Also the pistons don't want to come out of the bores, never known them to be this stiff before, on other engines it's usually just a case of knocking them through but these don't seem like they're going anywhere Sad Again, any tips. Maybe just a case of man up and hit harder but don't want to damage any!

I find tapping the conrods off the crank first helps a little bit, I can't see the pic very well as I'm on a useless phone
