1999 1.8 16v XU7 Engine for sale - PUGNUT_XS - 19-11-2014

Hi all

My engine is the later version of the 1.8 16v with the single bolt cam pullys. The engine has covered 104 000 miles and was running fine when removed. The alternator is u/s

The Cylinder head has not been stripped but the block has. The crank is well in tolerence as are the piston liners, rings etc.

Will sell as a job lot or as individual parts. The engine number and code are clearly visable so if you need to change the logbook you can.

The engine block itself has been cleaned and painted. I was going to use this engine for a project base but as there are no off the shelf items for this i binned the idea.

I would also consider doing some swaps depending on what you have.

Drop me a PM

Does the block have the piston spray bars?

Would you be willing to split the bottom end from the head?

Price?

As far as I'm aware, no 1.8 had oil spray bars.

Quite right Niall.

Like i said in my post the bottom end is completly stripped, i will split the bottom end from the head, you will need to change the shells as that is good engineering practice. PM me and make me an offer.
