the 306 gti6 oil temperature sensor is m14 x 1.25 and the HDI sump plug is m14 x 1.25 so if you have 2 sump plugs (i know i have) then you should be able to use the upper one a "6" sensor (or a after market one) as your oil temp then you would just need a gauge to read the sensor

In theory yes as the outer thread will be the sump size and the inner the sensor size, but in my opinion a m14 sensor would be better but thats just me Smile

Getting hold of a M14 sensor it's a bit hard and a gti 6 one is 55 quid just for the sensor think il go with a couple of adapters

And that one would just screw in and then I'd have to wire it up? Fully working niall?
