New phone advice - cpikey316_ - 07-11-2014

Cos you lot are awesome at this!

Am in the market for 2 new phones.

Me -> currently got Galaxy S4, would like something new and good
Mrs -> currently got my old S2, doesnt want my S4, wants a small smartphone, like the S2, but a bit more modern and up to date. Must have a good camera!

Bpth on O2. im on o2 refresh, mrs just has a sim only deal at the moment

meh.

Nexus 5 is an awesome phone. The nexus 6 isnt an upgrade and is more of a different product as its so large.

I would just reccommend a nexus 5 to everyone. Its cheap and high spec.

Oh god don't start this again haha :p

RE: New phone advice - r3k1355 - 07-11-2014

There's not really much of an upgrade really, the S4 has still got loads of grunt and it's got a fairly massive screen.
I doubt you'll notice the speed upgrade very much.

Why not just go SIM only and instead of upgrade your phone just shove more money in your wallet.

RE: New phone advice - Eeyore - 07-11-2014

yeh there isnt much that is better or worthwhile upgrading for over the S4...

RE: New phone advice - Paul_13 - 07-11-2014

I've got S5 does what I want it to
I'd recommend it

HTC one m7. Beats the Samsung Shit by a mile. If you want newer, get the one m8.

RE: New phone advice - cpikey316_ - 07-11-2014

im fairly happy with the S4 TBH, but funny money things mean I can upgrade a year early for next to nothing! The wonders of O2 refresh!

The mrs needs a little smartphone, shes annoyed as the x factor app doesnt work on her s2 haha

RE: New phone advice - Eeyore - 08-11-2014

the xfactor app doesnt work? Life just isnt worth living any more...

had the nexus 5 before i broke it awesome phone
got the htc m8 again awesome phone but part of me wishes i hadn't signed up to a contract again 3210 is more than enough phone for me and dont have to keep charging it which is the massive downfall for me for both of them drain the battery in a day easy

RE: New phone advice - Piggy - 08-11-2014

My wife and I had similar Samsungs and recently upgraded to:

Mrs Piggy: Xperia Z1 Compact
Piggy: Xperia Z2

Both VERY happy! Super phones, great quality! Only downside is that the camera software doesnt match the hardware quality...seems to have beem sorted on the Z3s now though as a good mate has just got the Z3 Compact, IDENTICAL camera hardware, but takes SO much better shots, even in Auto, so they seem to have sorted the software for that...i am just waiting for a nice update on mine to sort it!!

Motorola moto g is always the answer. £100 for a 4g phone with the latest android and no bloatware, I can't see how anybody could need more.

Only downside is the average camera.
