Timing tool pin set - mossy1985 - 04-11-2014 I'm looking to do a Cambelt/water pump change on my 6 and was wondering if anyone could provide me with either a link to a set of timing pins I will need or, provide me with maybe drill bit sizes? Ie cams need 6mm bit to lock in for eg Thanks all Dave RE: Timing tool pin set - cully - 04-11-2014 i made my pins from 2x 6mm shouldered bolts with the threads cut off 1x 9mm ish pin punch filed/sanded down to the correct size using a drill to spin it to keep it round camshaft locking tool made out of 20mm ply now i can lock the centre bolts to there correct torque without stressing the locking pins ![]() [attachment=19906] [attachment=19907] RE: Timing tool pin set - mossy1985 - 04-11-2014 Nicely done there cully very impressive, how did you make your camshaft locking block?
