Boost take off pipe - Connor - 02-11-2014 Where can I find myself a boost take off adaptor? In my head I know exactly what I want, but no idea what they're called or where to get one RE: Boost take off pipe - Eeyore - 02-11-2014 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Take-off-pipe-spout-hose-connector-turbo-boost-vacuum-gauge-t-piece-tdi-diesel-/181574794316? RE: Boost take off pipe - Connor - 02-11-2014 How much?! Lol and didnt really want to take the elbow off to fit, was thinking of some sort of brass fitting, but no idea what to call it RE: Boost take off pipe - Piggy - 02-11-2014 I was thinking todayon the 206 about making one fit on the egr blank on the elbow?! RE: Boost take off pipe - Frosty - 02-11-2014 Drill and take your inlet elbow and fit 1 of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321566446634?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2661&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT RE: Boost take off pipe - cully - 02-11-2014 I drilled and taped mine 5mm and fitted an air fitting takeoff [attachment=19879] RE: Boost take off pipe - Connor - 02-11-2014 This is what I've managed to find http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=320871278880&alt=web Whilst we're all here, can anyone link me to an egr blank RE: Boost take off pipe - Eeyore - 02-11-2014 The one I posted is good if you don't have a tapping set. RE: Boost take off pipe - Connor - 02-11-2014 Meh, itll tap itself ![]() RE: Boost take off pipe - Piggy - 02-11-2014 I found an egr blank in my 1mm steel cutoffs. Then used a pen and some snips! RE: Boost take off pipe - Connor - 02-11-2014 Thats what I was planning on doing, but if it's cheap enough ill just buy it and save faff RE: Boost take off pipe - Piggy - 02-11-2014 About £8 I think on ebay But cost me nout, took 30seconds to make! RE: Boost take off pipe - Stef205 - 02-11-2014 I have used these on my inlet. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/371040919342?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT RE: Boost take off pipe - Toms306 - 02-11-2014 They're about £3 each on ebay for the inlet side. I bought this pair for complete EGR removal though - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EGR-blanking-KIT-PEUGEOT-CITROEN-FIAT-2-000cc-8valve-HDi-valve-replacement-kit-/110937574514?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item19d4650c72 RE: Boost take off pipe - Piggy - 02-11-2014 Sorry...I was off by a penny!!! ![]() RE: Boost take off pipe - Toms306 - 02-11-2014 But if he only wants one for the inlet side it's considerably cheaper than £8... We don't all have random lumps of metal hanging around either. ![]() On another note though, I'm not sure how long 1mm plate will last. I've bought many EGR blanks over the years and not had any that thin. ![]() RE: Boost take off pipe - Piggy - 02-11-2014 I have used the egr pipe clamp ontop of a 1mm plate with a gasket. Which has to be better than the lack of a gasket when I took the pipe off!! RE: Boost take off pipe - Toms306 - 02-11-2014 Ah ok, fair enough, should be alright then. No EGR gasket? Probably explains the whistle lol... RE: Boost take off pipe - Piggy - 02-11-2014 Its still there. Think its the metal elbow to plastic boost pipe connection...is there an O ring?! RE: Boost take off pipe - Toms306 - 02-11-2014 Oh right. ![]() No O ring, just the silicone joiner with a jubilee each end if its the same as the 306, not sure if it is though! RE: Boost take off pipe - Piggy - 02-11-2014 Tough to see, have to have a dig at it tomorrow. Looks like a bolt on flange RE: Boost take off pipe - cully - 03-11-2014 the egr pipe joint is a metal gasket use that as a templet and cut one out of steal as i have ![]() |
