Jimbo's 51' white HDI estate ROLLING ROAD RESULT - Jimbo - 27-10-2014

As most know my ph1 kingfisher dturbo was regrettably sold, due to being too small and unpractical for me having two littleuns, so estate was really the only way to go. I was always going to stay 306 obviously.

Anyway picked up a 2001 '51 meridian estate in bianca white (cheap tax ;))
Paid 255 quid for it off ebay with Short Mot and short tax needing a new beam
Thanks to Mike B for the lift up to Bristol for it. Drove 100odd miles back trouble free pretty much, steering felt floaty. I soon realised when home it had 10psi in one tyre and a track rod end was excessively fooked!

Bought an ecu of here with a stage 1 pro steve map on it. Made it pull really well compared to standard, still convinced a stage 1DT On a bosch pulls better mind. Hdi defo drives nicer daily though.

Fitted a beam and some new brake pipes got me an mot ;)
Pics next day

Few after fitting some alloys (why didnt the late meridians have alloys?)

So yeah as you can see its wayyy to low. Shocks bought off ebay as 50mm
And from a gti6. Different springs are on order

Its.off tomoro to have some window tints done too ;)

Thanks for looking

One of the nicer looking estates from around the time in my opinion.
406 is pretty boring in comparison

Cheers buddy, appreciate it

Plans are tints, booked in tomoro at global tints Wink
Raise the front a little
I want to go stage 2
Keep it looking clean i guess, its easy to go too far and make stuff look chavvy/crap

RE: Jimbo's 51' HDI state - Poodle - 27-10-2014

Love the stealths on it, subtle colour too.

RE: Jimbo's 51' HDI state - 1616six - 27-10-2014

I really like this, it's subtle.

Keep the roof bars btw, they look awful without them..

RE: Jimbo's 51' HDI state - Jimbo - 27-10-2014

Again, cheers guys
Only had this a few weeks, and as it stands probably owes me about 500 quid all in.

Yeah defo keeping the roof bars, they look well odd without them

So i fitted a new double relay (brown one) a different lift pump.
Cleaned all the earths on n/s chassis leg up front
And took apart the engine loom connections cleaned up etc
And touch wood shes behaving again now which is good

And bashbarnard tints were 174inc VAT so average price but considering theres 7 windows that have been done thats not bad. Came with a lifetime warranty too which was a bonus.
Company who done them were called global tint

RE: Jimbo's 51' HDI state* TINTS DONE* - Toms306 - 29-10-2014

I'm not usually a fan of tints on 306s but they look alright on the white estate tbf! Could do with a GTi splitter imo though... Wink

RE: Jimbo's 51' HDI state* TINTS DONE* - Jimbo - 29-10-2014

Yeah maybe look out for a splitter at some point, need to raise the front up a bit first

RE: Jimbo's 51' HDI state* TINTS DONE* - bashbarnard - 29-10-2014

I do like this may have to get my windows done. Its good that they are lifetime warranty with em. Got to agree with tom a gti splitter would really set this off. Love a white car

RE: Jimbo's 51' HDI state* TINTS DONE* - af1 - 29-10-2014

RE: Jimbo's 51' HDI estate - Jimbo - 14-12-2014

Been a while since ive updated this, but i have done a few bits recently. Wont do a massive post but new things are

Cyclones (hate away)
Rallye blanks
Gti splitter
Raised the frontĀ
21mm bars back in the beam
307 283mm front brakes
Hydro dipped centre console (marmite mod)

And most importantly i have purchased

A fmic setup, including elbow and lower pipe.
An MBC
Boost gauge

So its going to be stage 2 in the new year Wink

A few pics in no particular order
