should really start a project thread... - toseland - 22-10-2014 So.. toms306's er... 306, purchased and played and the bug of spending lots of pennies has well and truely started.. where i am at the moment Stage 1+ Jammapic remap Powerflow cat back stainless system (sounds LOVELY) VTS front shocks (20mm lower) now.. Dynoed today at 119.4hp/204.something ft/lb at the wheels, (not bad considering the boost leak) this is with a slight (massive) boost leak, that i havent fixed because in the next week or so Performance 1. exhaust being sorted - cat removed to go with the nice powerflow backbox i have on there already (thanks toms) 2. boost gauge and manual boost controller being fitted 3. giant twinpass FMIC being fitted 4. boost being turned up to accomodate the smokeyness around 3000rpm, potentially to 17-18psi, maybe to 20 cosmetic rear windows are being tinted the same shade of black as the heko wind deflectors at some point: the wheels are being powercoated, the bonnet will be replaced (need a moonstone bonnet in good condition anyone?) need to get a halfrauds shopping list for the side of the car and some wolfrace 19inch alloys *ahem* itll have a nice bit of servicing over the next few weeks too when i get time.. you can find the dyno graph and its lovely smooth curves ![]() RE: should really start a project thread... - 306Dan - 22-10-2014 Ripspeed not wolfrace ![]() RE: should really start a project thread... - toseland - 22-10-2014 still trying to decide where i mount the guage, i seen a LOVELY center console mounted one that i think garath (or grant) on here makes.. i want.. a lot. Can tell you're from Pompey. :p Needs more pictures! Can tell you're from Pompey. :p yeah... I am looking for a rear beam from a 1.4 so I can fit the drum brakes and paint them red too so they stand out proper.. haha RE: should really start a project thread... - Toms306 - 23-10-2014 That's a decent dyno result with the boost leak...some of the boost is falling out of the EGR blank and some out of the inlet elbow, not sure if there's any elsewhere...card gaskets don't work regardless of what people tell you on here! ![]() What was it at the fly, seeing as the std 90 was measured ATF? I'd guess about 15hp tranny losses? Will keep an eye on this thread. ![]() RE: should really start a project thread... - toseland - 23-10-2014 (23-10-2014, 09:15 AM)Toms306 Wrote: That's a decent dyno result with the boost leak...some of the boost is falling out of the EGR blank and some out of the inlet elbow, not sure if there's any elsewhere...card gaskets don't work regardless of what people tell you on here! yeah the IC elbow that's coming is welded up.. so that sorts that issue out completely, hopefully have some nice clamps too so again, muchos better. I will be attacking that elbow's join with LOTS of RTV. RE: should really start a project thread... - Toms306 - 23-10-2014 Cool, dunno if you've already got a mapper in mind for the stage 2 but I'd recommend JP, as it's his S1+ that's on there.... RE: should really start a project thread... - Eeyore - 23-10-2014 Sounds like some decent plans. Id recommend getting the single pod for the A pillar. It looks nice and there is a 306 specific one not just the generic rubbish. If you need help ive got some 17" worlfrace dragons and some red calliper paint. This is the look you want right? ![]() RE: should really start a project thread... - 306Dan - 23-10-2014 You need chrome 16v badges on those quarters to achieve the "I ram raided halfords" look RE: should really start a project thread... - toseland - 23-10-2014 I can't put a turbo badge on the car as I actually have a turbo lol RE: should really start a project thread... - Eeyore - 23-10-2014 ive got some gti6 badges. They were on my 1.4 RE: should really start a project thread... - toseland - 23-10-2014 ill mash up a GHDi5 badge sometime lol RE: should really start a project thread... - Toms306 - 23-10-2014 Sounds like a new model of hair straightners... ![]() RE: should really start a project thread... - jammapic - 23-10-2014 They normally run about 15% transmission loss from experience... That's about 135hp at the fly - good power, must be a strong one! JP RE: should really start a project thread... - Poodle - 25-10-2014 Sounds mint. ![]() (23-10-2014, 05:07 PM)Toms306 Wrote: Sounds like a new model of hair straightners...
