Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - mossy1985 - 22-10-2014 I have searched and found a lot of people have fitted these items made by rich w, I'm having trouble finding where to go to purchase these items could anyone direct me to where I need to be or has rich w stopped making them? Thanks RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - Eeyore - 22-10-2014 Hello! I have one. They are still around but are obviously quite expensive being low production items. The quality is awesome though. Im not sure the crank pulley is actually any lighter. Im not sure if RichW is actually LynxEngineering or not. Richard Walker is the full name i believe. Ill PM you the number i have saved for him. RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - mossy1985 - 22-10-2014 Cheers mate much appreciated RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - Eeyore - 22-10-2014 Post back about how you get on! RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - Stef205 - 22-10-2014 I have one from pug1off they are made by Stew at baker bm. Perfect fit and finish, and cheaper than richw's RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - mossy1985 - 22-10-2014 (22-10-2014, 04:07 PM)Stef205 Wrote: I have one from pug1off they are made by Stew at baker bm. RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - Stef205 - 22-10-2014 I only have a crank pulley, if you look on my project thread there's pics there RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - cully - 22-10-2014 [attachment=19733] [attachment=19734] RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - Eeyore - 22-10-2014 oh wow! there is a big difference! ![]() RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - mossy1985 - 22-10-2014 Cully that's great, what make is that pulley? RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - cully - 22-10-2014 umm i dont know i bought it second hand from CG cars "Mechanical repairs" from the gti6 forum RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - 7057sam - 22-10-2014 Looks like a rich w one. Great products that actually make a difference RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - Niall - 22-10-2014 The Flywheels are a bit hit and miss. Some get on with them fine. Some destroy them quickly. RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - cully - 22-10-2014 ive got a light flywheel here too if you want me to weigh it? RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - Dum-Dum - 22-10-2014 The lightened flywheels come in different weights. 5kg and 7kg iirc, standard is about 11kg RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - mossy1985 - 22-10-2014 If you could cully yes please RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - welshpug - 22-10-2014 nope, std is 6.5, ttv is 3.8 for std clutch. 200mm clutch is 3.5, 140mm clutch is 2.6kg. RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - mossy1985 - 22-10-2014 Standard flywheel is 6.5 yes? How do you destroy a flywheel? You mean crack it? RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - miles - 22-10-2014 All the flywheels come from TTV Racing, Front Pulley's are Rich, Spox or BBM, I know the SPox one is almost twice the weight of Rich's one having weighed them, No idea on the other thou RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - mossy1985 - 26-10-2014 (22-10-2014, 06:25 PM)SRowell Wrote: oh wow! there is a big difference! Now mate I txt that number you gave me and I got no response ![]() RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - Janne L - 26-10-2014 I've been communicating with him during the day today at rich@lynxpowerengineering.co.uk Give it a go [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND TIGHTLY-CLOSED EYES] RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - mossy1985 - 27-10-2014 (26-10-2014, 09:11 PM)Janne L Wrote: I've been communicating with him during the day today at rich@lynxpowerengineering.co.uk Great stuff cheers RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - joka-cro - 19-11-2014 i run standard flywheel lightend from 6.5 to 4.1 kg,is not that dangerous for standard flywheel ? RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - Janne L - 19-11-2014 The lightened one weighs 3,9 so I'd not complain too loudly about 4,1 :-) RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - welshpug - 19-11-2014 its not "lightened" its made that way. RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - Ruan - 19-11-2014 There's two types of RichW flywheel... There's a gen1 flywheel which seems to have the wrong tooth spacing and you hear it every time you start one with one in, sounds like it's just sheared the teeth off 'cause they're wrong! The gen2 one seems to be OK though... Anyone know roughly how much the TTV flywheels are? RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - Niall - 20-11-2014 Also the gen 1s did used to strip their teeth eventually. TTV flywheels are a shade under 250 I think RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - mossy1985 - 20-11-2014 I've not heard about gen 1 or 2 before? RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - cully - 20-11-2014 i questioned RichW about the two types when i bought my one second hand, he asured me there were no MK1 flywheels in circulation as the were all exchanced RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - Niall - 20-11-2014 (20-11-2014, 03:37 PM)cully Wrote: i questioned RichW about the two types when i bought my one second hand, Well he's telling porkies then because Ed/Seans old Astor had one on before it went shiny side up! |
