HDi Service - Fozzy - 12-04-2012

The last service i did to the hdi i replaced Air filter oil filter and fuel filter, along with the oil (sump washer also)

Now i have completely forgotten what oil to use so was hoping someone could let me know. I rember a whil back dumdum telling me on .net, but can i find it nope Doh

Am i thinking correctly that the fuel filter doesn't need replacing every service.

Re: HDi Service - Kezzieboy - 12-04-2012

fuel filter is quoted as 24k miles IIRC.

I used 5w40 fully synth in mine last time I think, Gulf Competition stuff from Opie Oils.

Re: HDi Service - Fozzy - 12-04-2012

That rings a bell, i seem to rember last time there was a number after like 2000 or 4000.

And greta news about the fuel filter, no need to buy one from the stealers Smile

Re: HDi Service - 4WayDiablo - 12-04-2012

HDi Service - Oil-burner - 12-04-2012

The oil your on about is total quartz 9000 5w40 fully synthetic!

Re: HDi Service - Dum-Dum - 13-04-2012

Officially it should be total quarts 7000 10w40 part synthetic but total quartz 9000 5w40 fully synthetic is better and will give better cold start protection.
