Rumble noise - shaunturner306 - 16-10-2014

I have a rumbling noise when I'm driving over 70 an when I left of the accelerater would this be a driveshaft as a wheel bearing would be a constant grinding and I can feel the the vibration through the steering wheel an gearstick

Sounds like its something on the drive chain. When were the wheels last balanced? Sometimes the imbalance will be perfectly hidden until you hit a high enough speed.

New set of wheels mate did it on the last set but it's getting worse my mate says it's the drive shaft

It does it doing less than 70 if you let off throttle or put car into neutral and just roll.. coming from drivers side. My bet it the bearing on the drive shaft

Check the driveshaft CVs by driving the car on full lock, if they're dying they will knock lots. Could be the inner bearing, can check that by getting a screwdriver and using it like a stethoscope while somebody spins the wheel.
