bolts on spacers - thebluepearl - 16-10-2014

I've bought hubcentric spacers and Tapered bolts but the bolts don't seem long enough with flat seat washers, without the washers I get only 10mm of bite in the hub is that right?

I'm confused as they said they would be fine

RE: bolts on spacers - kentiiboii - 16-10-2014

10mm is plenty

That's using tapered bolts in challenger wheels with no flat seat washer in situ, is that dangerous?

RE: bolts on spacers - kentiiboii - 16-10-2014

Iirc all that washer is there for is to protect your wheel sort of thing?

RE: bolts on spacers - thebluepearl - 16-10-2014

I don't want to be driving down the road and lose a wheel or 4 ha ha

RE: bolts on spacers - Jonny81191 - 16-10-2014

DO NOT run them without the washer in, it'll f*ck the wheels and they'll come loose. Sounds like they've sent the wrong bolts, you want to get a standard bolt and drop it through a wheel and measure the protrusion. If there's less than that with the spacer on and the extended bolts in, don't run them.

Cheers ha ha worth a try best get onto the e of bay and get some longer bolts, it has just been bought to my attention im actually going to be running the ATLANTIS wheels not the challengers so my wheels are 7j instead of 6.5j now I need very long bolts

RE: bolts on spacers - kentiiboii - 16-10-2014

RE: bolts on spacers - Eeyore - 16-10-2014

yeh you need to get longer bolts buddy. Itll be easier to get longer tapered bolts and then use the flat seat washers.

RE: bolts on spacers - thebluepearl - 16-10-2014

OK, I've got 15mm for the fronts do you reckon I will get away with using the bolts supplied with the 20mm kit for the 15mm hubcentric's? ?

RE: bolts on spacers - osm2121 - 16-10-2014

The wheel in the last picture is a Challenger, not an Atlantis. Atlantis doesnt have a cap in the middle, Challengers have. Look inside the wheel and check what it says, should say 17x6.5j

It says ATLANTIS 7J

there's 3 different types I own all 3

307 hdi with pop out cap
206 with recessed centre
206 with smooth centre

RE: bolts on spacers - osm2121 - 17-10-2014

Atlantis with cap in the middle? Original? Never seen that, never heard of that neither, and doesnt exist in servicebox. Maybe its replica or they just made the hole in the middle? Easier to balance. That i've seen, even Cyclones with the hole made and center cap.

There's no cap it's a solid centre just has a recess for the wheel centre cap/badge genuine peugeot wheels not replicas, when im home I'll get a photo of all 3 wheels together so we can clear this up ha ha

RE: bolts on spacers - osm2121 - 17-10-2014

Im just asking cause I never saw that wheels with the recess, im not questioning Wink

RE: bolts on spacers - thebluepearl - 17-10-2014

Neither had I mate until I bought a set ha ha 1st set are 180 wheels for sure then got offered another set of 5 wheels 4 being the recess and 1 a pop out centre
