RE: HDI Standard Turbo - MY95 - 14-10-2014

How many miles/ whats the play in it like? and price? From a 306 too?

RE: HDI Standard Turbo - Piggy - 14-10-2014

Nope

lol

RE: HDI Standard Turbo - Toms306 - 14-10-2014

Lol, thought I'd leave as much info as there was in the OP. Wink

It's done about 170k (well, the car had, turbo may've been changed though!). Small amount of play which I believe is normal...no more than the 125k one I put on the moonstone anyway!

From a Y reg 306 estate.

Price and pics in my for sale thread.

RE: HDI Standard Turbo - mcglynn - 14-10-2014

Also have one. Miles about 180k play is the same as tom has described.

Not sniping but just another option if tom falls through. .

RE: HDI Standard Turbo - MY95 - 14-10-2014

Bit too high miles for me, thanks again Tom Smile 180K also too much, thanks also!

RE: HDI Standard Turbo - Toms306 - 14-10-2014

Lower mileage doesn't necessarily equal better condition. Wink

What mileage are you looking for? lol

RE: HDI Standard Turbo - Jimbo - 14-10-2014

^^ THIS
Ive heard of 80k units failing
Yet my last hdi had 190k on the engine/turbo and it was fine

RE: HDI Standard Turbo - Toms306 - 14-10-2014

My/Simons HDi was on 278k on the original turbo... Pretty sure Dee's is still original at nearly 320k lol.

And I killed one at 120k. lol

RE: HDI Standard Turbo - MY95 - 14-10-2014

Around 100k miles im looking for
The bearings on my current one are pretty much knackered at 126k! Everything else about it seems fine which is annoying, car serviced every 6k too!

RE: HDI Standard Turbo - mcglynn - 14-10-2014

How do you know they're away?

RE: HDI Standard Turbo - Matt-Rallye - 15-10-2014

78k Ko3 here in good condition. £40 posted

RE: HDI Standard Turbo - MY95 - 15-10-2014

Mcglynn - Mechanic says so, turbo was whining at 2.5k revs, was toook off by mechanic and everything seemed find bar the bearings

Matt-Rallye - Possibly may have that, from a 306?

Yes my man removed from a 306 at my work (Autobreakers) Smile

Was removed from a fully running 306 hdi with a rear end shunt.
