lowerings springs - LewisG - 05-10-2014 Can I put these on my estate? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Peugeot-306-93-01-1-8-1-9-2-0-D-T-HDI-Xsi-Eibach-30mm-Lowering-Springs-Pro-Kit-/231021913669?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item35c9faa645 And will they just go straight on without the tyres touching anything? RE: lowerings springs - WiNgNuTz - 05-10-2014 I don't see why not, they're listed as being for an hdi. Seem a slightly odd shape though imo. Might just be me. ![]() RE: lowerings springs - LewisG - 05-10-2014 Anyone got a pic of 30mm springs fitted? Yeah I dont want cheap ones though and they seem to be a decent price and quality RE: lowerings springs - WiNgNuTz - 05-10-2014 I think my estate is about 30-40mm at the front, ignore the rear though, as that's too damn low. Doesn't help that I have a boot full of work gear. ![]() RE: lowerings springs - LewisG - 05-10-2014 (05-10-2014, 05:31 PM)WiNgNuTz Wrote: I think my estate is about 30-40mm at the front, ignore the rear though, as that's too damn low. RE: lowerings springs - WiNgNuTz - 05-10-2014 The drivers side scrubs now and then, but I'm not sure the 20mm spacers help that. Passenger side wing is ruined though, if I had a good one on, that'd probably scrub too. Be sensible with wheel choice, and dont space them out too far (mine are ford fitment, and horrific, can't wait to be rid of them!), 30-40mm lows should be no problem. Put it this way, I had -60mm springs on my dt with 14" Harriers, never scrubbed once. ![]() RE: lowerings springs - LewisG - 05-10-2014 (05-10-2014, 05:40 PM)WiNgNuTz Wrote: The drivers side scrubs now and then, but I'm not sure the 20mm spacers help that. Ive got cyclones on with 55 profile tyres RE: lowerings springs - WiNgNuTz - 05-10-2014 Should be fine then. ![]() RE: lowerings springs - Toms306 - 05-10-2014 If you search for my china HDi, that was on those exact springs. ![]() I certainly didn't pay that much though, bought mine 2nd hand. ![]() RE: lowerings springs - WiNgNuTz - 05-10-2014 So those springs do fit alright then Tom? Only springs ive fitted were the ones on the DT, and they didnt have the smaller coil at the top and bottom. As long as they dont rub or anything scrapes its fine, thats my only worry, but surely 30mm on clones is fine? If your going by the coils on the ebay listing thats just a generic sales picture not the actual springs for a 306. RE: lowerings springs - WiNgNuTz - 05-10-2014 Ahhh, fair enough, makes a bit more sense tbf. ![]() RE: lowerings springs - ConorTRG - 05-10-2014 And yeah asTom said theyll fit, eibach list the same kit for estates, saloons and hatchbacks. They can be got cheaper than that though. Nah had no issues like that, best springs I've had on a 306 tbh! (05-10-2014, 06:45 PM)ConorTRG Wrote:(05-10-2014, 06:04 PM)WiNgNuTz Wrote: So those springs do fit alright then Tom? Didn't you notice there were also 4 pictured Steve? ![]() RE: lowerings springs - LewisG - 05-10-2014 (05-10-2014, 06:49 PM)Toms306 Wrote:(05-10-2014, 06:16 PM)LewisG Wrote:(05-10-2014, 05:55 PM)Toms306 Wrote: If you search for my china HDi, that was on those exact springs. It does say in the description you get the 2 fronts only as the rear is torsion bar ![]() RE: lowerings springs - WiNgNuTz - 05-10-2014 I did notice there was 4 actually, but dismissed it as generic eBay pictures, should have done the same for the shape tbh. ![]() RE: lowerings springs - Toms306 - 05-10-2014 Cant seem to find a decent pic but this is with the eibachs on, not exactly low enough to be scrubbing lol ![]() ![]() ![]() BUT - you could save yur money and buy some Xsara VTS shocks/springs lol... ![]() RE: lowerings springs - LewisG - 05-10-2014 What profile are those tyres? I was thinking eibach springs and blistein b4 shocks RE: lowerings springs - Toms306 - 05-10-2014 55 profile. There isn't another profile for 15s on a 306.... ![]() I was on GTi shocks, don't think B4s would be any better though tbh. The Eibachs were awesome tbh...but for the price difference, unless I was going on track I think I'd probably just go for VTSs again myself. RE: lowerings springs - LewisG - 05-10-2014 They look good mate, I post mine up when theyve been fitted RE: lowerings springs - WiNgNuTz - 05-10-2014 Those headlights look familiar. ![]() RE: lowerings springs - LewisG - 05-10-2014 (05-10-2014, 07:53 PM)WiNgNuTz Wrote: Those headlights look familiar.
