95 DT with immobiliser bypass - nominous - 29-09-2014

Turns out my 95 plate DT has an immobiliser system of some sorts.
Who knew.Huh

Imagine my surprise when I removed the battery and discovered the headlights started flashing when it was reconnected and I couldn't start it.

Since the buttons are screwed for the IR and I had no batteries, what to do.
Turns out if you turn ign to pos2, disconnect and reconnect battery, it becomes disabled again.

Nice tip. My 406 had a stupid keypad immobiliser. To remove it you just enter the code and start the car. While it is running, unplug the keypad and voila no more having to type in codes anymore.

No keypad. Just an IR receiver and some old skool style ultrasonic sensors in teh A pillars.
