brake pads. - thebluepearl - 12-09-2014 Running standard discs and pads on a hdi 90bhp, have what can only be described as the most irritating squeal when in motion and on braking im putting it down to cheap pads and rusty discs, looking at replacing them, what brands are people using? Without upgrading to bigger brakes. RE: brake pads. - Piggy - 12-09-2014 mintex are good value but return well in my ratings. get good combo dealso n mintex on the bay too. Shouldnt cost you more than £40 I would have thought for 266mm setup stuff. RE: brake pads. - thebluepearl - 12-09-2014 Thanks I've been looking at the mintex stuff and also brembo discs and pads too RE: brake pads. - PartyJas - 13-09-2014 I can vouch for Brembo. Used their discs on my GTi 6 for years. RE: brake pads. - thebluepearl - 13-09-2014 There not brembo upgrades just brembo branded standard items £60 for discs and pads Was going to couple these with some braided hoses RE: brake pads. - Alan_M - 17-09-2014 Pagid pads and discs with decent bleed through with new fluid.....keep an eye out for ECP deals. Sometimes they knock off a fair wedge on the price. |
