Sump Differences?? - sweeney1987 - 09-08-2014 quick question, after busting sump on the van today have a couples spare engines but theyre non aircon and the van has aircon is there any difference between sumps? and will a non aircon sump fit my aircon equipped engine thanks RE: Sump Differences?? - bashbarnard - 09-08-2014 Wont fit. Air con pump bolts to the sump as well. Assuming its a xud/hdi as its a van RE: Sump Differences?? - sweeney1987 - 09-08-2014 its a 306 dturbo xud car thats been converted to van (cheaper tax here in ireland) thought it wouldnt fit butjust double check cheers RE: Sump Differences?? - Lolben91 - 10-08-2014 If the aircon doesnt work then you can use a non AC sump and bin the AC system, if it works and you want to keep it then you will need an AC sump RE: Sump Differences?? - sweeney1987 - 10-08-2014 is there not a difference between pulley design and belt sizes though? RE: Sump Differences?? - Lolben91 - 10-08-2014 Not that im aware of, would need a different AUX set up though as the belt would need to be shorter RE: Sump Differences?? - sweeney1987 - 11-08-2014 might pull whole setup of another engine so.. Tried searching but cant seem to find it, is it a paper gasket or liquid on these? RE: Sump Differences?? - Lolben91 - 11-08-2014 Think its a card gasket, thats what i have anyway, and sealant would probably help too RE: Sump Differences?? - Toms306 - 11-08-2014 Its liquid gasket....probably the reason they all leak! RE: Sump Differences?? - Jonny81191 - 11-08-2014 XUD's are paper gasket Tom, it's the HDi's that came with sealant only. But TBH the ones that leak generally have been removed and replaced with the wrong stuff. |
