Rover Metro 1.1s - procta - 11-07-2014 well here is the car that replaced my gta 16v, here is a quick photo shoot on how the car has changed so far. when I got her, ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() car spec then, 1.1c with a 5 speed gear box, none sunroof model. blue interior. That's about it, Two weeks later, it be came a 1.1s vvc, ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() car spec, 1.8 vvc 160 bhp block with ported and polished head. gta setup front and rear ( transferred from the gta 16v) braided hoses at the back, red seatbelts front spot lamps, ( need to be wired in again) ITG panel filter 52mm throttle body wide gta steelies with 175 60 R13 firestone tyres. mk1 metal door handles head light covers, Spoiler from the gta 16v, R214 steering wheel, full electrics from the GTa 16v (came from a R100 SPi originally ) , converted over to injection, choke cable left in place for the crack, Gta clocks, with a cluster piece change to match the later electronics front and rear arb polybushed twin fan setup mgf rear view mirror with working lights, now with 10 second delay. battery cut off switch gti oem exhaust with decat, a few bits of interior trim painted black, black parcel shelf. R100 rear lights, clear side repeaters. front poly bushed droplinks polybushed front bottom arms, rear adjustable droop stops not bad for a two week build! nice and retro or what! Sounds nippy! with the weight of the shell, you don't even need to boot it, but you got to be careful, as some cars are not as quick off the mark in front of you. So there is the risk of putting it into the back of someone, This one is about 5% faster than the old car, and more settled too. |
