Soo another axle question - bashbarnard - 29-06-2014 Ive got basically everything to rebuild my spare axle. Just got to bang new bearings in crosstube now. Ive got some a disc conversion to put on but on havent got the money to refurb this stuff and my rear axle is now buggered. Can I unbolt the stub from the drum axle then bolt them stright onto where the the disc hub would bolt to RE: Soo another axle question - puglove - 29-06-2014 Not 100% but im pretty sure you would have to swap the stubs out RE: Soo another axle question - bashbarnard - 29-06-2014 Thats what I mean. Unbolt the hub from arm bolt my drum stubs on. RE: Soo another axle question - bashbarnard - 05-07-2014 So anyone got a definative answer to this? Need to know if the hubs will swap? My axle is now screwed and have no funds to put discs and bits on. Got everything else ready to go on RE: Soo another axle question - Piggy - 05-07-2014 Try it ![]() I do believe they do though RE: Soo another axle question - bashbarnard - 05-07-2014 The problem is if I try it my car is the off the road, im plnning on taking 2 days off work so I can do it in one hit with other bits and bobs. Obviously the bolts for the calliper carrier will be there but it wont be used. Surely soneones done this? RE: Soo another axle question - Piggy - 05-07-2014 Oh, so you wana use the disc stub axle with a drum?? Not sure that will work ![]() RE: Soo another axle question - bashbarnard - 05-07-2014 No. I want to unbolt the stub from the drum axle and bolt it to where the stub of the disc axle. Basically using disc trailing arms and drum stubs RE: Soo another axle question - vincent1 - 05-07-2014 the stubs dont unbolt im sure they are on splines and knock out im also pretty sure they come in different sizes too. RE: Soo another axle question - bashbarnard - 05-07-2014 So they are press it? If so the question still stands can I just press the correct one in or am I gonna have to buy another axle to get trailing arms off RE: Soo another axle question - Piggy - 05-07-2014 Wack out, wack in!
