gt18vnt - 205steve - 21-05-2014 I have a vnt from a 2.2 primera from what i can find its a gt18vnt, what are peoples thoughts please on fitting one to a xud, i will be gearbox mounting so space isnt an issue what do you think? A little tatty but will clean up well RE: gt18vnt - Ruan - 21-05-2014 GT1849 essentially... GT20v turbine side combined with a 49v compressor wheel - alright turbo, would do a "safe" 150hp... It'll be a quick spooler, I'd guess at a good 1bar@2000rpm, but won't make much top end power, very torque capable turbo... If it's free give it a try, but you'll probably find it has relatively little peak performance gains... Good midrange driver mind you! gt18vnt - Sambarker - 22-05-2014 Ruan - he's the tuuuuurboooooo yooooooodaaaaaa RE: gt18vnt - 205steve - 22-05-2014 Thanks for the info ruan, i need to get my post count up then i can start to look for parts like a bosch 9mm, injectors and pipes for starters Just thinking about it.....i might fit the gt17 i have first to get it running, then that will give me a little time to try and source either the parts to make a controller or source one. |
