XU7JP4 1.8 16v bottom end - powerandtorque - 16-05-2014

Anyone got a XU7JP4 1.8 16v bottom end surplus to requirements that they want rid of cheaply? Don't need the head, manifolds, loom etc.

I only really need the block and associated parts and don't really need the crank/pistons/rods as I'll be replacing those, so it isn't an major issue if it has a knocking bottom end, low oil pressure, poor compression or similar providing that the block itself is in VGC.

Within an hour or so of Swindon, Wiltshire if possible, or could possibly collect from Ace Cafe on Monday.

Annoyed because I gave away a perfect 50k mile one a couple of years back! Sad

Think floz has one/had one... may be worth PM'ing him? There was a thread

EDIT: found it http://306oc.co.uk/forum/thread-18094.html

RE: XU7JP4 1.8 16v bottom end - powerandtorque - 16-05-2014

Indeed. This lump of pig iron over the front axle is upsetting me...

Big Grin I knew you weren't going to be happy with it for that long.
Might have the cam off you if it's for sale. I can cope with timing one up just not two

can time lumpy sticks to your hearts content over MI pistons, infact the pistons will take more than the valve springs and spray bars can lol
