Are there specific bolts for cyclone alloys ? Or will the ones from my lasers be ok ?

Cheers Titch

they will be fine, heads might be longer though if they're proper laser bolts, safe though . .Smile

Just be wary, there are two different types of cyclones. I have a set in my garden with tapered bolt holes, and a set on my car with flat seating..

Just to be diverse yeah? lol

surely both types will take a flat seated bolt though yeah? . . . . . i've had cyclones where idiots have used tapered bolts and worn the hole through, sure it's not that? lol . . .Smile

Ive seen a few sets like it TBH. I remember reading somewhere on the '6 forum that there were some 'early' cyclones with alternative seating patterns.

f*cking peugeot lol

Ok now that has confused me a bit, these are the cyclones i have. Picked them up on Saturday for 30 quid, excuse the state of them as they need a refurb and i have started to rub them down.

Flat seat

RE: Quick question about cyclone wheel bolts - Toms306 - 06-05-2014

The set I had for 4 years on and off had one flat seat and 3 part tapered with same bolts... It's to do with the spare wheel. Old spares needed a taper, but also a flat for the alloys. Newer ones have spare steels which take flat bolts.

Yes 2 types, those in the pic's are the normal pattern which was used until around 1999, after that the bolts still flat faced had a shank on them to help locate the wheel at a guess

tapered shank on the shouldered bolt holds the std steal spare wheel Wink
