Putting a 1.9 in my 309

Is there any pipes that need changing or anything

Basically do I need anything off the donor car or do I need just the engine?

What are you doing about power steering?

RE: 1.9 conversion - Danny2009 - 22-04-2014

Not sure saxo electric pump I recon

RE: 1.9 conversion - Mattcheese31 - 22-04-2014

might have to butcher matrix pipes at a guess? . . Smile

RE: 1.9 conversion - Piggy - 22-04-2014

I would grab all the pipes you can, then you can cut n shut n join and make what you need. Chuck the rest when its in.

Good plan by the way!

RE: 1.9 conversion - Danny2009 - 22-04-2014

Yea suppose pipes is the only difference really?

1.9 conversion - Sambarker - 22-04-2014

Matrix pipes shouldn't be that different really, surely all the 1.8 stuff can just bolt to the 1.9 block. Oil heat exchanger will need plumbing in unless you don't use it and use an oil cooler.

Also use the 18 gearbox saves buggering about with driveshaft issues. Either that or use the 1.9 box and put the 1.8 diff in it

RE: 1.9 conversion - Danny2009 - 22-04-2014

I'll use 1.8 box to save effort lol

RE: 1.9 conversion - Danny2009 - 22-04-2014

Ahh I'll hae a look through the thread then mate Smile

Know of anything that needs changing other than what's stated?

Not really just swap all the sensors over so you can use the original loom, more than likely need the 309 downpipe, and thats it really its pretty simple tbh its just the little niggly jobs that take for ever
