I'm a complete newb, with more than a few questions, so after your advice
Remote central locking works via the drivers lock opens and locks all doors, however on the fob locks and unlocks all doors except drivers?
Is this likely to be a break in wiring loom in the drivers door?
And
Heater issues.
unable to move knob for Recirc section on fan speed selector.
Is this likely to be the cable behind the top glove box?
And steamy windows and a "hot" smell when turning the heater on will this be the
Cabin heater matrix needing replacing?
Other than that is the Haynes manual any good for these cars?

Hi,
main concern is the matrix, yes it needs replacing asap. Keep a very close eye on water levels till then and DO NOT blank it off in the mean time.
Haynes always good unless you pay full price.
Sorry for conciseness but the pubs just shut lol
