safe boost? - brettw1 - 19-03-2012 whats every 1 reckon is safe boosting im at 18psi atm? Re: safe boost? - Dan! - 19-03-2012 Depends on the turbo. 18psi is about the safe limit of a GT15 or K03, but if you have a T2 or K14 its good for 25 safely, or 30+ if you like ti live dangerously Re: safe boost? - brettw1 - 19-03-2012 might take it to 22 then Re: safe boost? - Jake - 19-03-2012 Man boost, im on k14 @ 32psi peak Re: safe boost? - Mattcheese31 - 19-03-2012 the words "safe" and "Boost" don't go together . . . . .and that's why we love it so . . Re: safe boost? - silverzx - 19-03-2012 As !Dan said above. ^ Although 22~26PSI on a T2 is about right depending on few things like what pump mod's you've done, exhaust, etc. If your on a Lucas still I'd say 21PSI for a T2. Re: safe boost? - Dum-Dum - 20-03-2012 Safe for your turbo depends on the turbo Safe for the engine is probably ~30psi if its in good condition. I had a ph1 DT with a dodgy head gasket and that still ran 30psi for 6 months without an issue. Re: safe boost? - silverzx - 20-03-2012 Dum-Dum Wrote:Safe for your turbo depends on the turbo Irish tune? Re: safe boost? - Ruan - 20-03-2012 30psi on a T2 hairdryer != 30psi on a TD04L != 30psi on a GT4082R... 30psi on a TD04L will produce significantly higher cylinder pressures as there's more air there as it's more dense as the compressor is much closer to it's ideal efficiency at the airflow our engines demand. Re: safe boost? - brettw1 - 20-03-2012 my mate is askin whats it for a standard turbo? Re: safe boost? - silverzx - 20-03-2012 brettw1 Wrote:my mate is askin whats it for a standard turbo?
