Given the hassle involved with replacing the waterpump and the potential risk if it fails, it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever to me to buy a cheap unbranded pump just to save a few quid.
Buy something that is a known quantity from a reputatable supplier would be my advice.

Last one I got was Motaquip and I got it for a tenner. It looked exactly like the OE part that came off, and likely is, given they are a PSA company.

Waterpump is definitely not an area I would want to be cheaping out on. Not only the pump that isn't upto standard but the gasket supplied with cheap ones are often shit to the point where they don't do any sealing atall. Case and point, I currently have a car stuck in my workshop because of a cheap shit waterpump gasket

Think I might buy one from Mills locally, it's not valeo but at least if it doesn't fit / I have problems I can return it.. :/
No online retailer (I can see) sells Valeos.

i've used mister auto quite a few times before. I think the main issue is when people come to return stuff, it becomes a headache. Though buy the correct part in the first place

We use alot of QH pumps and they seem ok, firstline is just ok imo.
