how hard are clutch cables to change? - raymond76 - 17-03-2012 just a q is it worth me having a go at changing the clutch cable on my hdi? or should i pay the labour costs to have it done for me? :? Re: how hard are clutch cables to change? - samass - 17-03-2012 it is actually pretty easy, for a normal person. i did mine and it took me ages, but thats cuz im a pleb and was trying to hook it onto the wrong part of the pedal. couple of tips; dont take off the clamp for he auto adjuster, also makes it impossible do tie a bit of string to the old one before you take it out, so you can tie it round the new one to pull it through theyre the main ones, it is a pain in the arse to get it under the a/c pipes, but a bit of brute force and they'll budge enough Re: how hard are clutch cables to change? - raymond76 - 17-03-2012 cheers bud will give it a go, thats if i dont sell it first lol..
