406 hdi clutch options - derv - 09-03-2014 i'm planning on changing the clutch in my 110 406hdi it's not slipping at the moment but the dual mass has started squeaking and as it's going to get mapped again and it will need to be replaced for a stronger one. the gearbox is a ML5T with a hydraulic clutch ,i know a flywheel from a 90 406hdi will fit, any idea if a gti6 flywheel will work and would that be a better option, will also probably go for a paddle clutch. RE: 406 hdi clutch options - Poodle - 10-03-2014 Don't know about hydraulic clutch options as the 306 never had one, daresay it'll be much the same as what we have available to us - organic, dual friction or paddle. The gti6 flywheel doesnt bring ny advantages, not sure why you'd want to do that..? I'd suggest ringing around a few clutch specialists to see what they can offer as a lot of afyermarket options for dmf equipped vehicles include a new smf. |
