oil-burner's bitchin HDi project - soon to be stage 2! - Oil-burner - 14-03-2012 Right, some of you may remember me from .net, but not been around for a while so thought id get a bit of a project thread going. for those who remember me, i had a regency red P1 sedan stdt long story short, she got very poorly, and i had to get rid. really miss that car  anyway after that i ended up running around in a black vtr for a few months .... dont judge me, i had no choice!lol so after that i was on the look out for another dturbo and stumbled upon this 2001 5 door hdi dturbo had 118k on the clocks part history and a folder full of paperwork recent cambelt change and cheap tax!! had a few bits and bobs to rectify but nothing major, so went to view and brought it home for a reasonable price. after that nothing really happened for a few months apart from disconnecting the egr, fixing a few issues and a decent service. then recently i broke a 1.8 meridian (as im sure you all know) and got a nice set of leaf pattern half leathers and steering wheel out of it. (no pics sorry) i kept the black doorcards as i prefer them but yeah, a lot nicer inside now! then after a lucky bid on ebay i picked up this little baby for ..... £36, yes thats £36!lol  its a full mongoose 2.5" s/s system with a 3.5" inward rolled tip! it had been adapted to fit on the estate so after a bit of cutting and welding she looked like this cant really moan for the dollar! now for a bit of photo whoring fitted the exhaust on sunday and had a bit of a wash with my ever growing meguiars collection and she now looks a bit like this then i got a bit bored today and decided to dewiper it and put a couple of stickers on the back window yes i know the exhaust is too low but i was getting fed up with it so im sorting it next weekend. also i know the enjoi sticker looks a bit out of place but my wiper had worn a ring into the glass where the cover had been rubbing so had no choice! anyway so thats how she stands at the minute, i know it wont be to everyones taste but im quite happy with it atm! future plans are Lower -40mm - done adjust exhaust - done replace bonnet - done twice fully debadge rear - done legal pressed plates - done stage 1 - done 307 arianes - sold but replaced with 17" aidels rallye blanks - waiting for smooth front end Black masks - done nothing crazy as im poor and have bills and a nagging girlfriend!lol anyway thats about it for the minute, thanks for reading! Re: oil-burner's moonstone HDi project - samass - 14-03-2012 ahhh you finally got a thread up! fat stack of meg kit man! oh yeah meant to say before, seeing as you're a jammy bastard and whatnot, keep an eye out for a 'zorst for me? Re: oil-burner's moonstone HDi project - Oil-burner - 14-03-2012 yeah that pretty much sums it up pal!lol haha sorry mate i only saw it literally 2 minutes before it finished! na mate, i had to get rid of mine because i didnt want it ruining my stickers! plus it was just about useless anyway, the washer jet is about as much use as someone dribbling on the window so it just made things worse! Re: oil-burner's moonstone HDi project - samass - 14-03-2012 ah fair nuff haha yeah they are shite! i soaked mine in boiling hot soapy water for ages, and took a fine wire brush the bit on the car, and now it sprays pretty goood. in the air, but pretty far haha Re: oil-burner's moonstone HDi project - Oil-burner - 14-03-2012 haha well thats your police problem sorted then pal, fill it with paint like they did on top gear! lol p.s. did you find out the diameter of your exhaust?
