Retro safety razors? - THE_Liam - 19-02-2014 Anyone shave with these? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/wet-classic-safety-razor-20-wilkinson-sword-double-edge-shaving-blades-shaver-/390709753217?pt=UK_Collectables_Barber_Shop_Collectables_LE&hash=item5af81db581 Thinking about trying one, I hate paying £8 for 4 blade refills, and you just can't get a proper smooth, close shave with multi-bladed razors. I've got quite thick facial hair and they just clog! RE: Retro safety razors? - Toms306 - 19-02-2014 How is that safe lol? Tbf I cut myself enough with modern razors so wouldn't bother with one of them. As for clogging, you have to shave more often to avoid that, I get it as well. RE: Retro safety razors? - bigcheez2k3 - 19-02-2014 I haz beard so no I don't ![]() http://www.volkszone.com/VZi/showthread.php?t=639606&highlight=merkur RE: Retro safety razors? - Niall - 19-02-2014 Ive used my old mans one before and its much nicer and you get a much closer shave but you do have to be careful. I have a tendency to just chuck the razor about lol. Agreed though blades are far too expensive! RE: Retro safety razors? - procta - 20-02-2014 just go electric! or better still, electric beard trimmer! CBA with wet shaving, just use an electric beard trimmer. Takes 2 minutes tops ![]() RE: Retro safety razors? - Scott - 20-02-2014 There's a whole subreddit dedicated to this: www.reddit.com/r/wicked_edge RE: Retro safety razors? - THE_Liam - 20-02-2014 I have been trimming for a while because my beard is proper thick, I have to trim it every 2 days but I just feel like a scruffy bastard. I used to use a cut throat, but it took ages, thought this might be a good compromise. |
