Gauges maxing out on start up! - philpemberton94 - 07-02-2014

Evening chaps,
I started my 1.9td meridian the other day and on start up the Speedo, Revs and fuel gauges all maxed out then dropped back to normal.

It has done it a few times now, but not everytime, just wondering if anyone knows why?

Usually a low battery.

Poor earths can also cause it.

Mine did this once after i left the ignition on for ages before starting it.
Otherwise runs normally so battery and earths are good.
Looks cool when it happens, but not when you know it shouldnt be happening!

Cheers guys, the car isn't on the road at the moment so the battery is more than likely getting drained from being sat and its a bit slow cranking when its not been run for a couple of days. Will see if it stops once its on the road! Smile
