Got so far with getting the matrix done but can't figure out how to pull the pipes off in the engine bay or inside. May have been having a blonde moment though

See the metal clasp in the middle of the pipes? Looks like a T you need to remove that, this is wht holds them in Wink

that metal clip on the top needs to come off then you have to press the clip inbetween the pipes to the right as you wiggle the lot free . .Smile

As said pop that clip off then pull the pipes. Be careful to not loose the 2 o rings on the pipes though

lift the metal clip from the rear, don't try and lever the front bit.

then you have the plastic clip inbetween the two pipes which you need to push to the side, there's a diagram on the plastic which way to push it.

buy new o-rings, the old ones are bastards to re-fit.

Better doing it when warm as this cold weather can cause all sorts of problems, 'O''s thou buy new everytime

Nice one will have a go when it's dry out again, anyone know the part no. For the o rings?

Any other things to change on the inside while its out? Are the pipes through the bulkhead easy to replace?

RE: Removing matrix pipes - welshpug - 05-02-2014

pipes through the bulkhead are part of the matrix.

when you remove the old matrix, pull the rubber off and refit it to the bulkhead, then lube up the matrix pipes after fitting the matrix to the heater box and bosh them through.

i left the rubber in but cut between the holes with a sharp knife, also lube the pipes up with fairy . .lol
