RE: Would you still pass your theory test - procta - 28-01-2014

I decided to have a go of the motorcycle theory, I failed. but that was due to some of the bike questions, I have never rod a motor bike, so I think I did fare, 39 marks.

My mrs is taking her test soon so I've done both and passed both but not full marks. It is silly some of the things they ask you though, questions designed to confuse you.

Yeah I had kinda realised, but that one showed I did it in 12 min. Ill do it again and prove the 50/50, gimmie 10 mins.

RE: Would you still pass your theory test - Niall - 28-01-2014

Chris you realise its not always best to finish as quickly as possible in all aspects of life right?

RE: Would you still pass your theory test - Dum-Dum - 28-01-2014

I do, but the ability to quickly process information and rapidly make correct and accurate decisions is important in many aspects of life.

RE: Would you still pass your theory test - stu9 - 29-01-2014

Re: Would you still pass your theory test - kentiiboii - 29-01-2014

RE: Would you still pass your theory test - miles - 29-01-2014

Half those questions are crap, I just had 3 sign's and a read a number plate, Who cares about eco driving and the thing about trailers, It depends on 2 or 4 wheels

RE: Would you still pass your theory test - Piggy - 29-01-2014

Meh...

Do the instructors test...

Amatuers

RE: Would you still pass your theory test - powerandtorque - 29-01-2014

50/50 Cool

As Miles says, it's amazing how much eco related nonsense has crept into the theory test though since I did it back in the first year that it was introduced.

RE: Would you still pass your theory test - Eeyore - 29-01-2014

46/50 and finished at 48 minutes. Thats better than my real score haha.

RE: Would you still pass your theory test - Toms306 - 29-01-2014

In March '09 I got 50/50.

Today I got 47/50 in just under 20 mins. My sister passed the real one with 43/50 a couple of weeks ago.

Though I didn't understand the wording on one question....surely there's no difference between competitive and defensive driving!?

RE: Would you still pass your theory test - powerandtorque - 29-01-2014

Competitive driving is basically racing or trying to "beat the clock", the theory being that you'll take risks.

Defensive driving is basically careful and anticipative driving, the theory being that you'll avoid being in a hazardous situation.

Hmm, I thought they both meant putting yourself first and not caring how your actions affect other people, so racing pretty much. Maybe it's an English test I need to take rather than a driving one. Confused lol
