I want this but it would probably mean a divorce which is way more expensive.

As nice as it is, you'd need your head examining to pay that much for it.

Not worth 12k; at all.
It's clean for sure, but engine is still on 55k..

Exceptional examples are selling for strong money and the prices for regular examples is going up.

Whether that one is exceptional and worth anything like the asking price is another question altogether of course and one that can't be answered with just a handful of pictures. My guess is that it will sell, but for a fair bit less than what's being asked.

205's have unquestionably turned the corner from cheap hot hatch to fully fledged classic car now, and the price of cars and parts is now reflecting that. 306's are currently where 205's were five or so years ago, and as a result what is being asked for a tired 205 would buy you a tidy GTi-6 or Rallye for example.

Would I buy this particular car? No. But the sort of person that would isn't the sort of person that will commute in it, drive the wheels off it or use it to go to the tip as I do - it's the sort of person that will keep it garaged, only coming out once in a while for a car show or the occasional gentle Sunday drive.

Not usually a fan of older cars but do really like that!

Though if I had £12k I can think of better cars to spend it on lol.
