Smash a socket over it, biggest one that you can fit in the bolt hole (giggidy). Failing that, heat and a chisel to smash it round, go careful with the alloy though. Or you could go and buy a locking wheel nut remover tool set, but that seems a lot of money for one use.

Weld a nut to it Wink

RE: Locking wheel but help - HDIkyle - 17-01-2014

He has tryd a removal tool already. Would hitting the wheel from behind snap the head off ?

RE: Locking wheel but help - karl1989 - 17-01-2014

Tried a socket of the centre but to and no joy. Don't think I'll get a socket round the edge as it's tight to the wheel

Moved to the correct section and title corrected.

You would f*ck the wheel before the head snapped there high tensile bolts

RE: Locking wheel nut help - karl1989 - 17-01-2014

Looks like they may be left on for scrap

RE: Locking wheel nut help - Daniel306 - 17-01-2014

Iv removed wheels from scrap cars by hitting them from behind. It stripes the threads out of the hub. best thing to do is drill it out

RE: Locking wheel nut help - cully - 17-01-2014

Never thought those to be of any use.

My vote is weld a nut onto it, preferably a big one, try and weld round the inside and the outside of it, depending on how much you value your wheels.

nearly a day cause i spent half of it in A&E after hitting my wrist twice with a hammer trying the socket method Blush

As said drill it or weld a nut onto it, some of those lock nuts are very hard you need a good drill bit or you'll not even mark it.
