Please help I have a 306 1.6 petrol 1999 my car battery went dead tried to jump start but no joy put new battery in and still the same will not turn over it really sound like it wants to I put new fuel pump and crank shaft sensor but nothing working I tried testing live feed to coilpack rail but not showing and feed please help been trying sort for over a week

How can it sound like it wants to turn over? Do you mean it turns over but won't start? Or there's just a 'click' from the starter when you try it?
It sounds like you've got no power at all? If so, check the earth lead on the gearbox is good, it can break. Also check the battery terminals are clean and tight and that the battery is good, was it brand new or a second hand one?

Ah ok, in that case it sounds as though the immobiliser may have got stuck on then.
I'm not sure how to solve that I'm afraid though. Someone more knowledgeable should be along soon!
