306 1.9 TD DTurbo XUD9 Problems - shazilla - 03-01-2014

Hello All,

My 306 1.9 TD DTurbo XUD9 has a few issues, can anyone help?

There is lots of black oil near the turbo and at the back of the engine.

It is drinking oil like crazy!

Does anyone have any idea on what could be wrong?

The Clutch was kinda hard, difficult to select gears, but it was not slipping.

I drained the Transmission Fluid / Gearbox Oil, but still the same.

I have removed the Clutch cable on my and it has a lot of play in the clutch fork.

Does anyone have any idea on what could be wrong? Clutch need to be replaced?

The Car makes a funny squeaking noise when I turn the steering wheel.

It also judders and feels like it resisting.

This does not happen all the time, mainly when the car’s first started.

Does anyone have any idea on what could be wrong?

Any help would be appreciated.

Sam.

The oil around the back of the engine may just be the rocker cover gasket leaking

Does the idle of the engine ever change by itself?

My mate once had the same problem with steering where it was juddering and resisting, turned out to be the ram on the rack which was at fault

As above may be rocker cover gasket and the steering may be the top mount bearings or the uj going to the rack

Could be clutch cable that needs replacing...would want replacing if clutch needs doing anyway so worth trying

How high/low is the biting point?
