No, but my mate turned up at my house last week with a V8 with 12 months MOT that he'd bought for £550 and I was genuinely impressed...
I mean granted it's a gold Lexus with turd brown leather, 331k and a badly dented back door but I mean, it's a V8!

My dad had an SD1 when I was a kid, epic car even if it broke constantly and was made of filler.
Merc E430s can be had quite cheap, or S430s, seen the odd 540/740 under a grand as well...
