405 Mi16 Alloys - Kezzieboy - 22-12-2013

Well, I've sourced myself a decent set of these, so I'm pondering whether to go for them or not. They're pretty rare, only ever seen them on 1 306 (and that was a phase 1), was wondering if anyone had any pictures?

I've done a quick photoshop (this file actually has about 15 sets of compatible wheels on it, some more unusual than others, but my paranoia when it comes to people stealing my ideas means I wont be showing those off Wink ), but you can't beat proper pictures when it comes to picking wheels.

Opinions?

RE: 405 Mi16 Alloys - Rippthrough - 22-12-2013

Looks great on my ph1, pity the rest of the car looks shit really.

RE: 405 Mi16 Alloys - zx_volcane - 22-12-2013

They look bad boy, get them on and spaced to fill the arches

RE: 405 Mi16 Alloys - Toms306 - 22-12-2013

I don't usually like these wheels....but they do look pretty good on your 306. Confused

RE: 405 Mi16 Alloys - Grant - 22-12-2013

This needs doing!

Yours is the car I'm talking about, as you probably guessed Tongue

Might try and haggle 'em down a bit further and bag them, got some interesting colour plans that I'm thinking about, too.

RE: 405 Mi16 Alloys - Connor - 23-12-2013

Just do it you mincer, stop fannying about

RE: 405 Mi16 Alloys - Mattcheese31 - 23-12-2013

do it, don't let it stop you because i'm currently refurbing a set to go on my car . . Big Grin

RE: 405 Mi16 Alloys - Kezzieboy - 23-12-2013

Oh really? You test fitted them at all? I'm not too bothered because yours is another phase 1. What did you pay for yours, if you don't mind me asking?

Also, what spacers are you planning to use?

RE: 405 Mi16 Alloys - Jimbo - 23-12-2013

I had these on my ph1 and used 15mm spacers
You could get away with just spacing rears but looks a bit shit

RE: 405 Mi16 Alloys - Kezzieboy - 23-12-2013

Yeah, I was thinking 15s or 20s all round.

£40 and 10mm puts them to the correct offset i believe . .Smile

RE: 405 Mi16 Alloys - HDIkyle - 23-12-2013

Some my fab wheels I would have them ( matts actually before he got them) but I don't need anymore wheels Sad

RE: 405 Mi16 Alloys - Rippthrough - 23-12-2013

RE: 405 Mi16 Alloys - Mattcheese31 - 24-12-2013

is that on 283's Mark? . . . . .Smile

RE: 405 Mi16 Alloys - Rippthrough - 24-12-2013

Yeah, around 8.5 IIRC, I weighed 'em once but I can't findwhere I posted it. Similar to cyclones anyway.

RE: 405 Mi16 Alloys - mr_fish - 24-12-2013

Yeah 283's off a 307. I have some 266's off a xsara that might get fitted once the 283's are worn out. Least I can fit some 15" alloys then.

pffft it clears it doesn't it? . . . . what's the issue? . . .i'm going to be popping some over 283's anyway . Smile

Are you running GTI6 283's?

I think I didn't run them as the 307 caliper has a different design (iirc talking to chris) and was a little close for comfort. Even clones over them are pushing it. Whereas on a 6 clearance is fine.

If they turn, they clear Smile

I had to move the wheel weights on the 205 speedlines to get them to clear 6 brakes on the zx, I think there was about 1mm clearance in the end :p

hmmm, perhaps I need to take a dose of MTFU and fit them to see how they look. Big Grin

Need to paint the centre caps first Dodgy

RE: 405 Mi16 Alloys - Ruan - 24-12-2013

Not as bad as 266s on Harriers.

I scraped all the mud and crud off the inside of the wheel... They're that tight.

RE: 405 Mi16 Alloys - Rippthrough - 24-12-2013

Some of the 307 calipers have 10mm more backspacing on them so you get shitloads of wheel clearance, that's what I'm running.

RE: 405 Mi16 Alloys - RetroPug - 05-01-2014

Anyone got any pictures of these on a 3-door Ph.1?
