Sponsor me please :) - Grant - 04-12-2013

Ok guys and girls,

It is the time of year where everyone is buying presents for loved ones/children. I appreciate money is tight, but any amount that can be donated will be much appreciated.

I am doing a challenge called the GradPike. It is a challenge in 2014 to kayak the length of the three longest lakes in the Lake District, in under 12 Hours.
The charity we are raising for is called The Supporters Club, a charity run by BT (my employer) that works closely with comic relief to help disadvantaged children across the U.K as well as worldwide.

I am aiming to raise as much money as possible, so as previously said, anything will be much appreciated towards this great cause.

My Donate page can be found at: https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/grantbetts1

Many thanks!

RE: Sponsor me please :) - Grant - 04-12-2013

Cheers bro Big Grin

You got it, they're the three. Gonna be tough!

RE: Sponsor me please :) - Dum-Dum - 04-12-2013

Thats an impressive task but I've been disadvantaged all my life and nobody has done anything about it.

RE: Sponsor me please :) - THE_Liam - 04-12-2013

Yeah very! I mean the road hugs the shore of Windermere and even late at night it takes me a good 45 minutes of hoon to get from Newby Bridge at the south end to Ambleside at the north. Might even come along and shout encouraging stuff from the shore.

haha fair point Chris. But from a different perspective; I have had a fortunate upbringing, by a good family in a MEDC country. There are children out there from LEDC's or abusive backgrounds that are not as fortunate as me. I am just trying to give back.

Haha, aslong as you have a pint in your hand waiting for me, then jobs-a-good-'un!

So to bring this to surface;

I set off for this challenge in just over a week now. Its no easy challenge, but nothing compared to what children are going through on a daily basis across the world. If you could find it within yourself to donate to this cause, it will be incredibly warmly welcomed.

On a shallower note, rep will be awarded Wink

Thanks guys x
