My new old persons car - Rich306 - 02-12-2013

Well since I'm moving on from the 306 scene, here is a newer car to get my mitts on.

1.9 T4 2001 Volvo V40 at 200bhp Wink

She is bloody quick, and quite juicy... Guess I'll have to learn how to drive her economically. Like a 'Grandad I suppose'. Smile

Not sure on the colour but i like those volvo bus's. I think my dad had one like that at some point! Wink

Colour is abit iffy. And I don't really like that shape Volvo, never saw much potential for looking nice

Just as well I think she looks sweet then Big Grin

My dad has v70 and it's the worst car I have ever driven, steering is horrible, ride is bouncy even withnew suspension and the seats arnt comfortable over long distancez

I really wanted one of these but I'm probably going to get a 940 turbo or an 850 T5 barge instead.
How much was it?

Under a grand Wink

And I have really grown to like this car, great fun to drive and f*cking quick!!!! Enough to smash gti'6s all over the place

What's the handling like? No 306 I'd imagine.

RE: My new old persons car - Rich306 - 03-12-2013

She handles well, obviously room for improvement, but something I'll sort out in time, I'm yet to test her on a decent corner to find out exactly where she lacks......

I borrowed a mates T5 a while back.
Omfg... literally shat my pants each time I got in it. Volvos are great cars. Solid as a rock and suprisingly quick.

Agreed, Big Grin I've kinda wanted one for a while, it wasn't until I drove this a few weeks back when my mate bought it that I actually converted from Peugeots.

The only reason he sold it to me was A: because I bugged him about it, and B: his insurance sky rocketed because he's only 19 I think?! Lol

My insurance my old 850 has been the cheapest car to insure probably because you'd never drive it of fuel costs
