RE: xud crankshaft pulley - paul7278 - 01-12-2013

RE: xud crankshaft pulley - willJspears - 06-12-2013

how hard was the aux belt to change?

RE: xud crankshaft pulley - paul7278 - 07-12-2013

the aux belt is easy mate! found out my noise is the power steering pulley!

Easiest to do it from the drivers wheels arch so you can get to the tensioners. Make sure there is less than 5mm of lateral movement once tightened, or that the belt can't be twisted more than 90 degrees.

Search on here, sure I read about someone who go a tensioner cheap, either form ECP or CP4L (which are essentially the same company) Believe there was a part number.

You'd need to know which type you need first though. My old engine, non a/c, had the lollipop type. My newer engine, a/c, has a spring loaded tensioner and another one. (The other one could be a lollipop type too for all I know, I was focussing on the bastard spring loaded one which is awkward)
