Fitting bike carbs - Daniel306 - 01-03-2012 this is not for a peugeot engine but the idea should be the same, just want to know what to do about the fuel pump, will i remove it and join the pipe or fit a open loop system and T off to the carbs? Re: Fitting bike carbs - darrenjlobb - 02-03-2012 Wont be able to remove it as the carbs wont fill themselves ![]() But im no petrol head so not sure how its normally done, id say either a low pressure pump or an open loop as you said, as you dont want any pressure heading towards them ![]() Re: Fitting bike carbs - Dum-Dum - 02-03-2012 You need a low pressure (3-4psi IIRC) pump for normal carbs, possible stupidly low for bike carbs cos some are gravity fed, not pumped. Look at facet pumps or the rally design copies of the above. Youll still need a feed and return line and IIRC a pressure regulator too. Re: Fitting bike carbs - aggyj17 - 02-03-2012 From what ive read most people use the fuel pump from the bike the carbs come off of. |
