Search Engine Rankings - Grant - 28-02-2012

So all you internet boffs out there. How the hell do i get my website higher in the google rankings.
In short, I run Martial Arts classes and am trying to get the website higher on the google search. Ive got keywords in my homepage and littered across the site, but there must be more to it than this?

Actually spamming the word stanceboard over that thread lowered our rank for that search...

I teach Aikido (shin shin kiatsu to be specific) and i practice Choi Kwang Do.

Niall, have done meta tags, but whilst the obviously dont guarunteeing ranking results, they have not done a lot in terms of upping the rankings page...

Take a look at google adwords, i think they give you some tips.

The actual term for this is "SEO" or Search engine optimization. If you do some googling on that, there will be some tips on what you can do to improve, or just generally what is good practice Smile

i actually got 3 and a bit belts into kickboxing. But then realized it was shit.

I want to get into something else, but a proper martial art.

I noticed this also...........as 4way says, Googlebot doesn't like spamming of tags and key words all over a site! Smile
