knocking when breaking - kingy - 03-11-2013

Anyone throw some light on this. My car has been parked up for a couple of months and I decided to take her out for a run.
But ive develped a knocking from the drivers side front wheel when I come off the gas and when light breaking.
Sounds like its coming from the strut but not 100% sure.
Any ideas where I start looking?

P bush mate? Engine mounts?

Mines doing this under heavy breaking, doesn't help that my discs are warped but I'm 99% it's the top strut, that would be the first place I would look

Its just strange that it never happened before it was parked up.

Old top strut mounts seize up pretty quickly when they're not used (from experience Dodgy ), but that'd give stiff/notchy steering so I doubt it's those.

It's more likely been 'resting' on something rubber that's weakened because of it, wishbone bush or something.

Could be breaks seized?

Dont think its break issues mate. New disc and pads just before fcs.

Fair enough then.
Just would be first thing id go for when its been sat.
I could do with new disc and pads on mine, as I used the disc and pads that came with my 283mm.
